Spa Day at the Brehon

Hi dolls!

So it’s been aaages since I’ve posted anything, we’ve been very busy bees moving house and getting ready for baby’s arrival! I’ll be back writing regularly again now, I promise👌🏼

Last Saturday we spent a fab day in the Angsana Spa at the Brehon in Killarney. I had been there many times before, but never to use the Spa. Ladies, you certainly will not be disappointed, as it is fab!!🙌🏼

We started off in the gorgeous warm Vitality pool, it was like a bath, just divine, so relaxing. There was also a Herb Sauna, Crystal Steam Room, Tropical Rain Showers and an Ice Fountain.

We were then taken away to the relaxation room to wait for our treatments, a gorgeous dark room with very comfy chairs and very lovely blankets. We were served tea while we waited. From here we were taken for our treatments. I had the Deep Marine Purifying Facial. It was perfect for my oily skin. It was also one of the most divine relaxing facials that I have ever had! The therapist was just fantastic!

After the treatment was over, we returned to the relaxation room where we had fruit juice or tea, and melon and orange. It was so refreshing!

Everything was really lovely, even the attention to detail in the changing rooms was spot on.

I will most definitely be returning, and I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Check out The Brehon Website for offers and bookings.

Happy Relaxing!

Elemis Pro-Radiance Delights

Hi girls

I recently came across the Elemis Pro-Radiance range.

I’m currently using the Cream Cleanser and the Illuminating Flash Balm, and I love both.

The Cleanser can be applied straight on over makeup, you massage just a small amount all over your face, no water required, leave for a few minutes, and then remove with a facecloth.

My skin feels so soft afterwards, and really clean, it’s like a mini facial!

The Flash Balm is lovely on, again just a small amount, applied to a clean face. This can be used as your daily moisturiser, a radiance booster, or even as a primer over your regular moisturiser.

I just love the glow it gives my skin, and it’s not at all oily, which is often a big issue for me in moisturisers, but this is divine!

You can get these beauty essentials here

Until next time, happy shopping!

Pregnancy Essentials – Bio Oil

Hi girls

I’m sure many of you are already aware that Bio Oil is pretty much an absolute essential during pregnancy, but on the off chance that you didn’t know…if you are pregnant, you need this, and sooner rather than later!

As the ad says “Bio‑Oil is a specialist skincare oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone.”

I’m a HUGE fan! I’ve been using it since the start of my pregnancy, and so far so good, no stretch marks🙌🏻 Now I’ve still got ages to go, so I’m not in the clear yet, but I definitely think it’s helped.

You can get Bio Oil in loads of places, pretty much all Pharmacies and Penneys also stock it.

You should use it daily, all over bump, and don’t forget your back and sides – which can also be prone to stretch marks.

It also leaves your skin incredibly soft, so it’s a win win ladies!

It’s also really important to remain hydrated during pregnancy, for a whole host of very good reasons, avoiding stretch marks being just one, so keep drinking that water dolls!

Happy Shopping

Pippa’s Palette has arrived!

Happy Monday ladies, and what a lovely Monday it has been for me!

The postman was very good to me today and delivered my #pippaspalette this morning. To say it’s fab is an understatement! Pippa had given us a sneak preview at her Fashion Factory in March, you can read about our fab day out here, but to be honest, you need to see it yourself to actually see how lovely the colours are! They are all neutral, usable colours, that anyone could use.

This ladies, is the perfect palette to have in your handbag. It’s available on pippa.ie right now.

 Happy shopping ladies!

Product of the Week – L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque

Ladies, this stuff – L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque – is amazing!!

It has a thickening effect after the first use. I use it with the complementary shampoo, which definitely helps too, but I really think the Masque seals the deal. My hair feels amazing after using it. I use it once a week, and afterwards my hair is just in a different league compared to my usual routine. It’s bouncy, it shines, and it just feels great. I have to say too that I use quite a bit of the Masque, definitely a palm full, but my hair is quite long, and I pretty much cover it from root to tip. I wouldn’t recommend putting it on your roots if you’ve got particularly oily hair though (same as conditioner).

These pots of wonder are available nationwide, and I get mine in boots

Happy pampering!

I love London

After another weekend in my favourite city, I’m already trying to figure out when I can go again 😂

London is one of those places that you can return to over and over again, and still find new things to see!

We flew from Cork, and the first great bit of our trip was checking out the new MAC counter in the Airport. I liked Cork Airport before, but now I love it😊

We flew into Stansted and got the Stansted Express into London. The Stansted Express is just so handy, and it comes all the way into Liverpool St, and from there you are on the underground👌

We stayed in The Grange St Paul’s. It was just perfect, stunning hotel, gorgeous rooms, several bars and restaurants, and in an excellent location.

On Saturday we went sight seeing, we saw Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, The London Eye, The Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. We were wrecked after it! 😂

Sunday was dedicated to shopping. We hit Oxford St. My Mecca. I just love it there! There are so many great shops and department stores, it’s like heaven 🙊

We didn’t have enough shopping on Sunday so we hit Westfield in Stratford on Monday morning, now that is how I want to start my Monday in future 😂😂

We flew back Stansted to Cork again (we hit the MAC counter on our way🙊).

Until next time London!✌️🇬🇧

Wedded Wednesday – What To Wear The Morning Of

Picture the scene ladies, the big day has arrived, everyone is smiling and supping on champers. Hair and Makeup is being perfected and everyone is laughing and having fun.

What are you wearing though?

You won’t be hanging around your house/hotel room in your wedding dress – that is for sure!

You will need something comfortable but pretty to wear while you are getting ready. This goes for Bridesmaids and Moms too!

It’s really important to remember your beautiful hair and makeup too…there’s no point in spending hours getting ready, only to have a struggle to get a hoodie over your head afterwards!

I would recommend loose tops – it will be warm no matter what time of the year(just think a room full of hairdryers!), and you do not want to be a sweaty mess before you’ve even got your dress on!

Make sure the top can be pulled down, and that it doesn’t need to go over your head.

Remember to put something on your feet too – just not something that will rub off your tan! Socks are a no no!

I love the idea of dressing gowns, there are loads of options out there, but these personalised ones are just gorgeous!

Loose fitting bottoms are also a must – again for the tan lines!

What about a loose fitting playsuit? It can button off, and you will look cute for the house photos.

Remember your photographer will be wherever you are getting ready too, so it’s good to be prepared.

That’s all for this week.

Happy planning ladies!

Wedded Wednesday – Nail It

Happy Wedded Wednesday ladies!

I hope you are all loving this gorgeous weather, isn’t it just bliss?

Today I’m looking at nails. These are really important for your big day, remember there will be many photos taken of you, and in particular of your new bling on the big day. You will also be shaking hands with everyone at your wedding, so it’s essential that those claws are looking good girls!

I would recommend investing in Gelish or Shellac. These are 3 and 2 week manicures, respectively. Almost every beauty salon will offer at least one of these, so they are easily accessible to all brides. They are approx €25 on average, so it’s a good investment, and your nails will still be gorgeous for the day after and also your honeymoon!

There are mountains of different colours and designs that you can have, so make sure to look around on inspiration places like Pinterest or Instagram for ideas.

I would also advise getting a trial done before the big day. It will give you a chance to get to know your nail technician, and you can see how the dream nails look in real life.

Top Tip: Why not get your trial done for your hen party!

Here are a few of my favourite nails. Images | Pinterest
